why ULTRASTAR?

Speedmaster printing units (year of manufacture 1999 or later) are equipped with perfectly functioning rubber blanket or back pressure washing modules. These washing devices have been designed that the printer on site can maintain them without the help of a technician. The dismantling or assembling as well as the dismounting of the module can be performed very quickly and easily.

The manual cleaning with solvents, brush,
compressed air or even high pressure cleaner
did not set any limits to imagination. However,
these cleaning methods are very time- consuming and even useless in many respects.

Even with the necessary care and efforts it often revealed after remounting that both spray bars were not cleaned correctly. Persistent sediments due to the formation of algae and dirt particles cannot be removed from the pipe and nozzle apertures with conventional methods.

This results in:
- striation on the rubber blanket
- manual re cleaning
- break of bend
- increased consumption of detergent
- considerably decreased lifetime
of brush roller

The module can be dismounted in its components
in no time at all. Spray bar, tub, brush roller and
sealing are then placed in the basket of the
ULTRASTAR device. Ultrasonic waves and Lesa
Ultraclean automatically dissolve encrusted and
shriveled color and dirt residues at all positions
whether winding or inaccessible. Even inside the
spray bars ultrasonic is active and dissolves
completely contaminations and algae slime. The
connected pneumatic pump enables the complete
rinsing of all spray bars and spray nozzles. The
module and all its components can be transferred
into a condition nearly as good as new within one
to two hours without any personnel expenditure.
